January PTO Meeting
Tuesday, January 17 @ 7:00 p.m. in the Manoa Library

Proposed By-Law Changes:
Since 2021, the PTO Board has consisted of 6 Board Members: President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Recording Secretary, Coordinating Secretary and Recognition Secretary. The current Manoa PTO by-laws state that the board consists of 5 board members, combining Coordinating and Recognition Secretary. As the PTO grows and takes on more responsibilities, we understand that this position can no longer be given to just one person. The proposed by-law changes would confirm that current and future boards will contain 6 board members.
For this change, updates have been made in the following components of the by-laws:
- ARTICLE V; Section 1
- ARTICLE VI; Section 4
- ARTICLE VI; Section 5
- ARTICLE VI; Section 6
Additionally, it has been determined by several past board members and current board members that the currently stated four (4) Committee Chair meetings is not necessary. It has been proposed to change the requirement to a minimum of two (2) Committee Chair Meetings
This change can be seen in the updates made in ARTICLE X; Section 2 of the current by-laws.
